3D SKIN ANALYSIS
3D Skin Analysis
Skin analysis and evaluation are of great importance in the fields of cosmetics and dermatology to objectively prove product efficacy and to examine the skin condition in detail. Advanced technology devices such as VisioFace Quick and Miravex Antera 3D™, developed for this purpose, enable precise and reliable measurement of skin parameters using high-resolution imaging and spectral analysis methods. In this text, the technical specifications, working principles, and the analyses provided by both devices will be discussed in detail.
1. Skin Imaging and Analysis with VisioFace Quick:
VisioFace Quick is an easy-to-use and fast imaging system designed to capture and analyze macro images of the skin surface.
Technical Specifications:
High-Resolution Camera: Captures detailed and clear images of the skin surface.
Standard Lighting System: Provides consistent and reproducible imaging conditions.
User-Friendly Software: Facilitates image capture, analysis, and reporting.
Working Principle:
The device takes high-resolution photos of specific areas of the skin (e.g., forehead, cheeks, crow's feet).
These photos are taken before product application (baseline) and at specific time intervals after application (e.g., 1st, 4th, and 8th weeks).
The captured images are analyzed using the software that comes with the device.
Analysis and Evaluation:
Definition of Test Areas: The areas to be analyzed (e.g., wrinkles, spots, pores) are marked on the images.
Comparison of Parameters: The software compares skin parameters (e.g., smoothing effect, wrinkle depth, pore size, color homogeneity) in the defined areas with the baseline images and calculates the changes.
Reporting: The analysis results are presented in a detailed report containing numerical data, graphs, and before/after photographs. The report also includes values indicating the color difference (delta T and delta E). Delta T represents the difference in skin color between the treated area and the surrounding skin, while Delta E represents the color difference compared to the baseline value.
2. Skin Analysis and Evaluation with Miravex Antera 3D™:
Miravex Antera 3D™ is an advanced imaging system designed to capture two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) images of the skin surface and measure skin parameters through spectral analysis.
Technical Specifications:
Multi-Spectral Imaging: The skin is illuminated with light at different wavelengths, and the reflected light is analyzed.
3D Reconstruction: A three-dimensional model of the skin surface is created.
Fast Scanning and Analysis: Offers quick data collection and analysis.
Advanced Software: Provides comprehensive analysis and reporting features.
Working Principle:
The device quickly scans a specific area of the skin and captures multi-spectral images.
Melanin and hemoglobin concentrations are calculated by analyzing the reflected light.
The device also generates 2D and 3D images of the skin surface.

Analysis and Evaluation:
Color Analysis (Skin Tone and Pigmentation): The device creates melanin and hemoglobin maps to quantitatively assess skin tone, pigmentation disorders, and erythema (redness). This allows for objective evaluation of the efficacy of skin-lightening products and the degree of sun damage.
Texture Analysis (Roughness and Wrinkles): Using the 3D model of the skin surface, the device precisely measures skin roughness, wrinkle depth, length, and volume. This enables the evaluation of the efficacy of anti-aging products and treatments like laser therapies.
Pore Analysis: The device analyzes the number, size, and distribution of pores.
Other Analyses: Antera 3D™ can also be used to assess skin dryness, scars, and vascular lesions.
Reporting: The analysis results are presented in a comprehensive report containing 2D and 3D images, graphs, numerical data, and statistical analyses. Parameters like skin redness/erythema, skin color/tone, pore quantity, skin smoothing, wrinkle depth, and length can also be evaluated through a questionnaire.
Test Parameters and Sampling:
Sample Size: 30 samples for each product are required to obtain statistically significant results and to account for inter-individual variability.
Test Duration: Generally, 35 working days (approximately 7 weeks) is a sufficient period to observe the effects of cosmetic products on the skin. However, this period may vary depending on the type of product and the claimed effects.
